Getting Started

What is an invie?

An invie is an invitation!

Is invie free?

Yes! invie is completely free to download and use.

How do I get started?

Download invie from the App Store, create an account, and start organizing your contacts into circles (like "hiking crew," "book club," or "college friends"). Then create your first invie and invite your people—it takes less than a minute.

Do my friends need to download invie too?

Nope! You can invite anyone without the app and they can respond via SMS text. They'll just miss out on the magic of organizing their own hangouts and seeing all their invites in one place.

Creating & Managing invies

How do I create an invie?

Tap the "+" button, add details (what, when, where), select who to invite from your circles or add manually, set any capacity limits, and send! invie handles reminders and response tracking automatically.

Can I make a recurring event?

You can utilize the 'reinvie' function found in 'My invies' at the bottom calendar section. When an event passes, you can easily set up the next event because the title, attendees, location all stay the same, you just need to pick a new date!

Can I edit an event after sending invites?

Absolutely! After the invie is set and is waiting for responses, enlarge the blue card and hit the three arrows in the top right. After an invie is confirmed, you can edit by selecting the invie in the calendar section and making your updates.

How do I cancel an event?

Open the event, tap the menu (three dots), and select "Cancel Event." All invitees will be notified immediately.

What does "set limits" mean in the customization screen?

Per invie lets you set a limit on attendees. Got two concert tickets? Set capacity to 2. Need exactly one babysitter? Set it to 1. Once you hit your limit, invie automatically stops accepting new RSVPs and manages a waitlist. Per invie lets you allow a guest a plus one (or however many you set). Perfect for dinner parties or group outings where the more the merrier.

Inviting & Circles

What are circles?

Circles are custom groups you create based on how you actually socialize. Create a "Sunday Brunch Crew," "Hiking Squad," "Book Club," or "Work Friends" circle—then invite the whole group with one tap instead of scrolling through your entire contact list.

How many circles can I create?

As many as you want! Some people have 3, some have 20. Create circles for different friend groups, activities, or occasions.

Can one person be in multiple circles?

Definitely! Your college roommate might be in "Book Club," "Hiking Squad," AND "Brunch Crew." People belong in as many circles as they naturally fit.

How do I invite people who aren't in a circle?

You have the choice to add people manually in this situation.

Can people see what circles they're in?

Nope! Circles are private to you. They're just an organizing tool to help you invite the right people quickly.

Can I add more than one circle to and invie?

You would need to make a new circle with all people. We hope to support multi circles in the future.

Managing RSVPs

What are nudges?

Nudges are friendly reminders you can send to people who haven't responded yet. Instead of passive-aggressively texting "so... anyone free Thursday?", just tap "Nudge" and invie sends a gentle reminder.

Does invie automatically remind people?

You can set your own reminder settings in the settings section. invie is sensitive too how many notifications you receive. We encourage you to add your invies to your preferred calendar and utilize that method for reminders. invie will ask if you want to add the details to your calendar after an invie is confirmed.

Can I message the group within invie?

Yes! You can message individuals or the whole group via an automatic group text message.

Can I change my RSVP after responding?

Absolutely. Life happens! Just open the event and update your response. The host will be notified of the change.

Privacy & Settings

Who can see my invies?

Only people you invite. invie isn't social media—there's no public feed or discovery (not yet, anyway!). Your plans stay between you and your friends.

Does invie access my contacts?

Only if you grant permission. You can manually add contacts instead. We never share or sell your contact information.

Can I control what notifications I receive?

Absolutely! Go to Settings > Notifications to customize what alerts you receive—new invites, RSVPs, event reminders, nudges, and messages.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Note that this will cancel all upcoming events you're hosting and remove you from events you've RSVP'd to.

What data does invie collect?

We collect only what's needed to make the app work: your name, contact info, events you create/attend, and circles you organize. We don't sell your data or show ads. Read our full Privacy Policy at invie.app/privacy.

Troubleshooting

Someone didn't receive their invite. What happened?

I'm not receiving notifications. How do I fix this?

Check your phone's Settings > Notifications > invie and make sure notifications are enabled. Also verify notification settings within the invie app itself.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

We'd love to hear from you! Email letsgo@invie.app with bug reports or feature requests. We read every message.

The app isn't working properly. What should I do?

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Note that this will cancel all upcoming events you're hosting and remove you from events you've RSVP'd to.
